New Scientist article The Spire Energy Drink is the latest energy drink to feature a brand that was originally marketed as a water and energy drink.
The Spires own branding is based on the classic dominion, but the energy drink has also been created with the addition of a small glass of Spire oil.
The brand, which has a price tag of $9.99, has been launched to coincide with Spire’s anniversary and is being sold by a new Spire energy drink website, SpireEnergy.com.
The company is also selling the Spire Oil in its own packaging and in bottles.
A spokesperson for Spire said the brand was initially developed to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary, but was subsequently updated with a modern design that is more “in line with the brand’s core values of excellence, integrity and trust”.
“Spire Energy has always been known for innovation and innovation-driven brands.
As part of this anniversary celebrations, Spires brand team reworked and reimagined the brand to reflect this,” they said.
“Spire has been in the water for 25 years and is proud to be one of the oldest brands in the industry.”
The spokesperson added that the new Spires energy drink was developed to be the “ultimate water, energy and sports drink” and that “the new Sprites design will be available in bottle and as a drink.”
The brand’s name is derived from the dominion in a spire.
Dominion is a Latin word meaning “great”, which in turn is derived both from the spire and the water that forms its base.”
The Spires website says the new spire is a water, “a mix of sparkling, sparkling water, and sweet, fruity, and citrus flavours.
It is an easy drink to drink with your morning coffee.
“The company said the new design of the drink is inspired by the domination, and will include a smaller, glass spire that can be “consumed with any beverage”.
The Spire brand is being created by New York-based design firm Spire and energy drinks giant Domani.
The brand is a new energy drink that combines energy drinks, carbonated water and carbonated juice.
In addition to Spire, Domani’s new energy drinks include: Alexandra, a carbonated sparkling water drink with an orange-coloured base; Nu-Nu, a lemon-lime water drink; Etienne, a refreshing lemon-lime water drink.
Domani also owns two energy drinks companies: Polar Energy, which makes carbonated energy drinks including Citron, a green energy drink; and Avanti, which sells energy drinks.
Energy drinks are booming in the US, with sales increasing by more than 20% in 2017, according to Euromonitor.
But the growth of energy drinks in recent years has been slower than other beverages, as energy drinks become more palatable to consumers and their tastes evolve.
Spire said its new energy brand “takes the energy drinks experience to the next level by introducing new technologies and delivering the best in flavour, convenience and taste”.
